Half-time meeting in the hanseatic Rostock
Just in time for the halfway point, the FLEXI-GREEN FUELS team got together in the Hanseatic City of Rostock at the end of September 2022. The team can look back on a successfull working period, where all planned activities are in active progress.
The focus of the last 18 months was on the pre-treatment and fractionation of the two-types of waste biomass into cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin, the catalytic upgrading of intermediates into crude biofuels, the separation of fractions suites as drop-in aviation and/or marine fuels as well as the assessment of the whole biorefinery system.
This time, the project face-to-face meeting was hosted in Rostock by the Chair of piston and machines and internal combustion engines. On a tour of the fuel laboratories and internal combustion engines, the FLEXI-GREEN FUELS team was able to visit the facilities where our marine fuel will be testes later on.
For the remaining 18 months, this means rolling up our sleeves and keeping up the good work.
